About us
The Agence de l’Énergie plays a key role in the energy transition: it helps its customers reduce their energy consumption and switch to renewable energy sources. It carries out energy studies and audits to identify opportunities for improvement in various types of infrastructure, and advises businesses, individuals, institutions and local authorities on technologies and practices that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
It also offers carbon footprint assessments and supports projects through grants under the commitment scheme. Since 2024, it has included CO2 emission reductions in its calculations and provides advice on funding programmes in Luxembourg.
The Agence de l’Énergie also trains its clients in sustainable construction, energy efficiency and decarbonisation, and raises awareness among children about energy and waste as part of the “Nachhaltigkeit macht Schule” programme.
